This is the privacy notice for Jocelyn Lindsay’s Hellgate Chronicles website, including its Cloudflare test site. It explains what information the site uses, why it is used, and how to get in touch about it.

Newsletter signup

When you subscribe, your first name and email address go to Kit, the service used to manage Jocelyn’s mailing list and send the welcome emails, book news, and newsletter you requested. Kit also maintains subscription status and may record email opens and link clicks.

You can unsubscribe using the link in any newsletter email. Unsubscribing stops newsletter delivery; it does not necessarily erase the subscription record. To ask about access, corrections, or deletion, use the contact address below.

Your free book

After signup, you are directed to BookFunnel to download Relic. BookFunnel handles the download and any reading-device support you request. Information you provide on BookFunnel is processed by that service.

Contacting Jocelyn

If you email Jocelyn, your email address, message, and any information you include are used to read and respond to your inquiry through email services. Sending a message does not subscribe you to the newsletter.

The website’s contact form is currently disabled while message delivery is being configured. It does not accept messages yet. This notice will be updated when that service is activated.

Website services

Cloudflare hosts and delivers this site. It processes technical information, such as IP addresses and request details, to deliver pages and help protect its services.

The site loads fonts from Google Fonts and a newsletter form script from Kit. Those services receive connection information when your browser requests their files. The newsletter form is configured to use Google reCAPTCHA for spam protection, which may process browser and device information when it runs.

No separate website analytics or advertising tags have been installed. Embedded services can still use cookies or similar technologies for their own functions. Your browser lets you control cookies and scripts, although blocking them may affect newsletter signup.

Links to other sites

Book purchases take place with the retailer you choose; this site does not collect payment-card details. Retailers, BookFunnel, social networks, and other linked services have their own privacy practices, which apply when you use them.

Your choices and questions

You can browse without joining the mailing list. If you want to ask about information held about you, request a correction or deletion, or raise a privacy concern, email [email protected]. Please include enough information to identify your subscription or inquiry, but do not send passwords or payment details.
